Commercial Shrink Wrap Service

Commercial and industrial items are often thought of as rough and tough. While these items are strong, they aren’t protected during transport. Shrink wrap is a solution for protecting large industrial items. Atlantic Shrink Wrapping provides high-quality shrink wrap services to clients in Maryland and across the United States.

Shrink wrap is a protective plastic material that can cover objects of any size. It protects objects from the elements and keeps all parts together for safe transport. We use high-quality shrink wrap materials and techniques to protect your commercial or industrial items during transport. Proper protection can prevent expensive repairs or replacements due to damage.

We Can Handle Any Project – Big or Small, Around the World

Shrink wrap provides proper protection, no matter the item’s size, location, or destination. As a durable material, shrink wrap works well for outdoor storage and transport.

In the past, ASI has wrapped items for transport that may not have seemed like a good candidate for plastic installation. These items also weren’t expected to survive transport down the highway at 65 mph, but they did.

In over 10 years of service, we have NEVER had a single shrink wrap cover fail!

This is where our expertise comes in. Most shrink wrapping companies can make the job look good at first. But your project fails when it shreds because of cheap materials or poor installation. You want to ensure the shrink wrap company you choose gets it right the first time, without the risk of failure.

Protection for Shrink Wrap Items

The first major consideration in shrink wrapping is padding the item. Padding helps protect the item from the plastic and the heat used during installation. This padding also protects the plastic from sharp points or areas that can damage the wrap. The job fails if the plastic gets a hole in it after completion. Natural elements can damage the item if the shrink wrap is damaged.

ASI uses many different padding types to ensure the item is protected properly. Some of our padding is simple foam; in other cases, it may be industrial-strength bubble wrap or a combination of both. Some competitors will try to save money by using old carpet pieces or cardboard to pad an item. At ASI, we do it right with new and professional padding.

Another essential consideration is securing the plastic to the item. If we cannot lift the item, we must find a way to ensure the plastic is on the base. Easy options exist, but they are not always correct or long-lasting.

We find the best way to secure the plastic so it creates a strong, long-lasting wrap. When an item can be lifted, we use our unique “cocoon” wrap to protect it 360 degrees. This technique protects the object on all sides, regardless of size or weight.

High-Quality Shrink Wrap

We consider the materials we use to shrink-wrap items. ASI has learned that using the best material available far outweighs the cost difference of using cheap material. Quality materials ensure the best product and ultimately save time and money. More affordable materials can tear and expose objects to the elements, increasing the risk of damage.

We use durable plastic that stretches over objects without ripping or tearing. This material preserves items in their original condition for long periods.

Plastic shrink wrap also allows us to create a tight seal so moisture, bugs, and dirt cannot get in. Shrink wrap also keeps different parts of machinery, transportation, or structures in place and in one piece.
